Chin-Jie Melodie Liu 劉沁潔 is a Taiwanese and American emerging artist/curator and writer based in Kamberri/Canberra, Australia.
Her interdisciplinary practice is informed by her heritage and focuses on contested histories and collective memory. She is interested in varying forms of creative collaboration as well as the use of text as visual material.
Liu received a Master of Museum and Heritage Studies in 2021 from the Australian National University (ANU) and completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts with Honours (First Class) in 2020.
She studied at the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts de Paris in France in 2019 as part of her exchange semester. Liu also holds a Bachelor of Arts from the ANU with a major in French Culture and Language and minor in International Relations.
Liu was a Curationist Fellow and a participant in the National Gallery of Australia’s 2024 Young Writers Digital Residency.
Bronte Bell is a printmaker and textile artist based on Ngunnawal Ngambri Country. Her practice is rooted in material exploration, focusing on found and discarded textiles as a means of storytelling.
Through collection, deconstruction, and reconstruction processes, she engages with themes of transformation, waste, and the intersection of the natural and manufactured worlds.
Her practice is guided by a slow and considered approach, embracing the imperfections of worn materials and allowing their histories to dictate new forms.
Bronte Graduated from ANU School of Art and Design’s Printmaking department in 2020.
